Our main priority is to provide a happy, safe and relaxed environment for your dog, whether they are here to stay or for a pamper. Happy Tails is licensed by Mid Suffolk District Council for doggy daycare, boarding and grooming. At Happy Tails we are licensed to have a maximum of 6 dogs, plus our 2 family dogs at any one time. Happy Tails has Public Liability insurance.

•  All dogs must visit Happy Tails prior to their stay in order for us to assess the dog and for you to check us out! Happy Tails has the right to refuse any dog they are unhappy to have.​

​

• Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Council have updated their guidance (Section 13.7) and now advise that an overnight trial stay should be carried out prior to any stay that is longer than 3 nights. Please discuss with Happy Tails if this is something that you are interested in.

• Drop off and collection times are between 8-9AM and 5-6PM.

​

• All dogs must be up-to-date with vaccines and kennel cough. At Happy Tails, we aim to keep a clean and safe environment, however if your dog does contract Kennel Cough, Happy Tails will not be held responsible. Health cards must be provided as evidence of vaccinations. (Happy Tails does not accept titre tests as a form of vaccination). Primary vaccination courses must be completed two weeks prior to your dogs stay.

• Your dogs flea and worming treatment must be up-to-date prior to arrival. It is also essential that you dog is microchipped and must wear a collar during their stay. All dogs will wear a Happy Tails tag during their stay.

• Happy Tails will only accept neutered/spayed dogs and dogs over the age of 1 year.

​

• Happy Tails will not be responsible for any damaged, lost or stolen collars, leads, beds etc. Owners will be liable for the cost of any damage caused to Happy Tails property by their dogs. If dogs are destructive, Happy Tails holds the right to implement the use of a crate.

​

• Due to personal health reasons, any dog that is deemed to be a strong puller on the lead will be required to wear a Halti (either supplied by yourself or HappyTails). If you do not consent to this, your dog will not be walked and only exercised in the garden.

​

• For stays longer than 1 week, or for block day care bookings a deposit of 50% will be required on booking confirmation. This will be non-refundable and non-transferrable. The remaining balance must be paid on collection of your dog. 

​

• If a booking is cancelled within 72 hours of the start date, the full balance must still be paid.

​

• Owners must provide food for their dog for the duration of their stay. This will not be left down for grazing and dogs will all be fed separately.​ Feeding instructions must be provided on the consent form.

​

• All medication must be labelled clearly and instructions must be provided. All medical history must be given in advance on the consent form. If any problems pose a risk, we will seek veterinary care. Happy Tails vet is STOWE VET, Stowmarket. The owner/emergency contact will be contacted prior to this. If needed, medication will be used during their stay and any unused medicine will be returned to the owner or prescribing vet. Happy Tails will not be responsible for the cost of vet care or medication during the stay. The health, welfare and behaviour of all dogs will be monitored daily. Any health or behavioural problems will be recorded and owners will be informed.

• Dogs from different households will be boarding  at the same time and therefore will be socialising at all times. If needed, dogs may be separated from others for time out or rest periods.

• In case of emergency at Happy Tails, owners or emergency contacts will be called to collect their dog immediately. Happy Tails has the right to cancel a dogs stay at anytime if the need arises.
